Way back in August of this year I was lucky enough to be in the position of official photographer for Rip Curl on the two nights of the Music Festival near Biarritz, SW France. Headlining the gigs were, among others, LBC (a Sublime tribute band, formed by a member and friends of the original group), Keziah Jones, Goons of Doom, The Rakes and Mixmaster Mike, of Beastie Boys fame. It was really cool to be one of a couple of guys with all access passes – on stage, backstage, in the pit and infront of almost 20000 people.
